The Invitation

Join us for a 2 night / 3 day Autumnal retreat to explore your stories and your spirit, surrounded and supported by nature.

We will work with mindful movement, long juicy journalling sessions and sharing around the fire. Settle into this Samhain, and offer yourself the space to nurture your energy before the winter.

If you are new to Yoga or Writing or, even better, both - you are welcome! This will be a supported, encouraging space. All words and participants are welcome.

The Offering

An easeful journey (just 10 minutes from Barnstaple in Devon) precedes a gentle welcome into the rural haven of beautiful ensuite accommodation, housed in a converted eco barn set amongst five acres of wild and wonderful grounds.

Immerse in space, lightness & comfort; whether your journey encourages you to hours resting by the fire, contemplative walks amongst the organic vegetable garden or taking in the full programme of carefully designed yoga, writing and discussion workshops.

This retreat invites an opportunity to connect with the inspiring: with nature; with connection to others; with ourselves. Every element of this retreat is optional. We encourage you to find an alchemy that meets your needs as you find them at the time, no more and no less. We will be on hand for any questions and conversations before and throughout.

We love keeping these offerings small and personal and as such, expect to sell out quite quickly. Do let us know if you would like us to reserve a space for you or a friend, payment plans are always possible.

...because of the ideas and spirit you encouraged, the people you attracted to the retreat, I realised I didn’t need a holiday from people, I just needed to be around people who were kind, generous and authentic, and also seeking some retreat from their life for a few days in a beautiful place.

The Place

Our beautiful venue: Our retreat is set in the rolling hills of the Exmoor countryside, our home - a serene farmstead steeped in history and character. The accommodation is comfortable, edging dangerously towards the luxurious with many of the rooms offering ensuites and inspiring views of the five acres of wild and wonderful grounds to explore, a big organic vegetable garden and even a stone circle. There is woodland to walk and sculptures to contemplate. Just peace, and the occasional bleat of sheep.

How to Arrive: The centre is situated down a half mile lane in a peaceful hollow just fifteen minutes from Barnstaple and ten minutes from Ilfracombe. All Yoga props, including mats if you do not have your own, can be provided.

The Food

Connecting our bellies to the land, the organic food is health and environmentally conscious. A tempting feast of vegetarian and vegan food is always on offer.

The wonderful chef is able to cater for a number of different dietary requirements: gluten free, dairy free and even refined sugar free. He is also able to make up packed lunches if you require them if you wish to explore the local landscape during your stay.

The Programme

Every dawn will begin with meditation, journalling and a mindful, but powerful, 2 hour asana practice. The rest of the morning will be yours to read, rest and explore, stretching between breakfast and a delicious buffet-style lunch.

If you choose to dive deeper, after each breakfast there will be a different workshop designed to offer further guidance in awakening new pathways towards nature connection and creativity. There will be personal journalling exercises, with a focus on idea exploration and story-shaping, and an opportunity to dive into some immersive creative work. On Saturday morning there will be an opportunity for a wild food walk and swim along the local beautiful coastline.

Before supper we will sink into a cosy Restorative session with a journey Nidra supported by carefully selected essential oils.

The evenings will be filled with storytelling and time to process our days. An example schedule is below (of course we remain flexible to the energies of the group):
