Service Description

When? Saturday 25th June 10am-4.30pm Where? Meet at Newbridge carpark, Dartmoor National Park What to expect? We will meet in Newbridge Carpark in Dartmoor (more details will be sent closer to the time) at 10am. After a quick meet-and-greet and kit check, we will head out onto the Two Moors Way. As we walk we will keep our eyes peeled for wild edibles to make tea and add to our salads and sandwiches. Under Charly's expert tutelage, we might expect bilberries, even wood sorrell. There will be time for pause, gentle movement led by Ash and discussion, particularly around the folklore of the plants that we meet. After we stop for lunch, we will take out our notebooks and Ash will guide us in a writing exercise around the theme of 'place.' As we walk the second side of our circular route, there will be opportunity for a wild swim, if you would like (so do bring kit!). We will aim to be back at the cars, without rush, by 4-4.30pm. What to bring? - Wet weather gear and layers - Walking boots - Swimming kit (if you would like a dip!) - Snacks - Water bottle - Notebook and pen/pencil Your teachers Charly Crump is a nature-based education consultant, a Forest School trainer and a teacher of CPD in outdoor practice. You can find her @foxfirelearning. Ash Bond is an enthusiastic writer, book-pusher and Yoga teacher trainer. Ash has taught Yoga across the world and holds an MA in Writing. You can find her @ashcreativewild. Ash and Charly met almost ten years ago when they realised they both had the muddiest trainers in the yoga studio where Ash was teaching. They became running buddies and realised a shared love of nature, movement and creative living. Cost: £50 including lunch.
