Service Description

Facilitating retreats is one of my greatest joys as a yoga teacher - 3 days up to 10 days of immersing ourselves in practice, good food and discussion. It is dreamy. It is, also, a lot of work. So how do we start to plan a retreat? I get a lot of requests to discuss this, and as venues begin to open my inbox is beginning to fill up once more with teachers asking for pointers so - here we are! Join me for an informal discussion (with a snazzy Powerpoint!) on some of the things I have learned and some of the mistakes I have made in running retreats (and there are some crackers!). Here we will discuss - When do you know you’re ready to run a retreat? - How do I start to plan? Do I need a theme? - How to write a description - How do I choose a venue? - How do I begin to budget? This won’t be a marketing discussion as anyone who knows me knows that is not my forte (!) but we can discuss relationship-led sharing. There will be plenty of time for Q&A and each participant will be sent a downloadable template of a room plan. If there is a desire for a more in-depth discussion, we can plan a full morning workshop soon after. Please note that this talk will not be recorded. Ash has led around two dozen retreats in the UK and abroad, both independently and for Yoga On A Shoestring. Find out more about Ash here: www.creativewild.co.uk
